About 900 years ago, penjing was introduced to Japan, where it evolved uniquely into bonsai.
Today, bonsai is being expressed as fashion, art, and culture, especially among younger generations. As a unique Japanese cultural tradition, it is gaining global recognition and enthusiasm continues to grow both domestically and internationally.
We at ENTO believe people are drawn to bonsai by its beauty, which lies not only in "newness" but also in the "passage of time."
Whether feeling overwhelmed by time in the presence of historic masterpieces and masterful artistry,
savoring the four seasons in a tree that suddenly bears fruit,
or pausing for a moment while watering, simply to observe—
something within the heart is nurtured through the daily, careful time spent with bonsai.
Bonsai, simply by existing, speaks to something deep within us.
ENTO is a community led by master bonsai gardeners with a focus on passing on the spirit and techniques of bonsai—"serving the tree."
In this rapidly changing era, as guardians of bonsai culture, we begin our activities as an organization dedicated to industry development and cultural preservation by passing on the spirit and techniques of bonsai.

The company name "BONSAI ENTO" was inscribed by the 38th Generation Kimura Shonosuke, the highest-ranking sumo referee, in elegant "sumo script" calligraphy.
Sumo script is a traditional calligraphy style used in ranking lists, cherished as an "auspicious script" for business prosperity and success, resonating with the beauty of "ma" (interval) that bonsai values.
We requested this collaboration as a union of Japanese cultural craftsmanship, and are honored to receive it as our company name inscription.
